INDIANAPOLIS METAL FEST RETURNS THIS SEPTEMBER

Following a successful 2007 debut, the Indianapolis Metal Fest is returning this September 26 and 27 to prove itself as the Midwest's premiere metal festival.

The festival includes an assortment of headliner-status and personally-chosen unsigned artists, including three bands that will be making their U.S. debuts.  Bands already confirmed are: Dew Scented, Kittie, Divine Heresy, Mustasch, Green Jelly, Daylight Dies, Bleed The Sky, Into Eternity, Ekotren, Skeletonwitch, The Destro, Gigan (ex-Hate Eternal), Psyopus, Level-C, Obszon Geschopf, Black Chapel, Demiricous, Gates of Slumber, Threat Signal, and The Absence.  In all, the festival will host 60 bands over the two days.

With an extensive background in the music business and live show promotion, promoter Rob Mason has modeled the Indianapolis Metal Fest to encompass all sub-genres of metal for a well-rounded and diverse lineup of bands.

"In addition to a great American lineup, we're bringing in bands from Sweden, Germany, France, South America, and Canada," Mason said.  "Mustasch, for example, are huge in Europe.  They recently won the Swedish equivalent of a Grammy award, and they're making their U.S. debut at Indianapolis Metal Fest."

Mason also remains committed to his original vision of shining the spotlight on the Indianapolis metal scene and the bands who grind it out in local venues every day. "Even though the fest has increased in size, I'm very dedicated to the idea that IMF will be a catalyst to present opportunities to local and regional talent," he said.  "A band we put on the stage at IMF last year was signed as a direct result of their performance.  They weren't a local band, but the opportunity was there."

Indianapolis Metal Fest II is presented by Blind Prophecy Records and Roaring Lion Energy Drink, and will be hosted by Mistress Juliya.  Other sponsors include: Sam Ash Music, Jagermeister, Marshall Amplification, 1Vision Records, Halo Custom Guitars, Divirta, Ltd.,Candlelight Records, Dark Star Records, Epitomite Productions, Airplay Direct, Project Independent, Anchor Recordings, Tech 21 NYC,Soul Asylum Poetry and Publishing, and Blastzone Entertainment.

"It helps to have sponsor partners who share your vision, to say the least," Mason said.  "The support of these allow us to put on a quality two-day festival.  We couldn't do it without them."

The show will take place at Madame Walker Theater, located at  617 Indiana Avenue in Indianapolis.  Tickets go on sale Saturday, July 12 and cost $30 in advance/$40 at the door for a two-day admission.  Tickets will be available through www.indianapolismetalfest.com and at select retails locations.

All tickets are general admission.  Indianapolis Metal Fest II is an all ages show.

"Indy Metal Fest was a well organized event that rivals most festivals in the U.S." - Frank Watkins - OBITUARY (Indianapolis Metal Fest I headliner)

"By the time headliners Alabama Thunderpussy and Obituary rocked the Knights of Columbus ballroom late Saturday night, it was already apparent the inaugural running of the Indianapolis Metal Fest was a hit." - Nuvo News Weekly - Indianapolis

Candlelight Records have set September 16 as the American release date of Left to Die, the new EP from Obituary. The EP follows the worldwide success of 2007's Xecutioner's Return and as previously announced includes two brand new songs from the legendary death metal band plus a re-recording of the band's classic "Slowly We Rot," and remake of the Celtic Frost classic "Dethroned Emperor."  The EP additionally contains the band's popular "Evil Ways" video.

Obituary's core of brothers John Tardy (vocals) and Donald Tardy (drums) with guitarist Trevor Peres came together in 1984 forming one of death metal's most successful and respected bands.  Releasing six full-length albums with Roadrunner Records, the band announced their cooperation with England's Candlelight Records in early spring of 2007. Xecutioner's Return was released August 28 to extensive acclaim and supported with full American and European tours. "Xecutioner's Return totally smokes everything they've done since 1992's The End Complete," said Decibel Magazine.  "A tour de force of old school death metal," adds Blabbermouth.

Now finishing up a series of European festival dates, including Germany's famed Wacken and Party.San Open Air festivals, the band kick off their second American tour in Atlanta, Georgia and wrap nearly 30 days later in Charleston, South Carolina.  Confirmed tour dates are noted below.

Candlelight Records today confirms the signing of North Carolina-based sludge/doom metal band Sourvein. The popular five-piece on tour now through August 11 have recorded a special/limited edition EP titled Imperial Bastard which will see domestic release on September 30. It will be followed by the band's Billy Anderson-produced full-length label debut currently planned for release in early 2009.

Formed in 1993, Sourvein relocated to Cape Fear, North Carolina after Hurricane Katrina ravaged their long-time home base. Blacktide Music says, "ominous riffs, which launch into despair-ridden breakdowns the likes of which would make Eyehategod tremble with fear." Currently featuring vocalist T-Roy Medlin, former Buzzov-en drummer Ramzi, bassist Bonne Doom with guitarists Cool Clyde and Sleepy Doom, the band have released two full length albums - their self-titled (often referred to as Salvation) debut released in 2000/Game Two Records and Will to Mangle released in 2002/Southern Lord. Numerous EPs and split recordings have kept the band in the eyes of their growing fanbase as well their commitment to consistent touring both in the US and overseas.

Always A Six, Never A Nine is the second album and the follow up to the 2006 self-titled debut from Portland, OR aggro wreckers Black Elk, whose psychotic brand of crushing, noise-rock influenced heaviosity is a return to the unhinged underground rock force of bands like Jesus Lizard, Melvins, Black Flag and Hammerhead. This new album features ten songs of seething weirdness, with the dissonant, crushing riffage, lunging rhythmic push and awesome freaked out, Yow-esque vocals of singer Tom Glose that made their debut a fave among anyone who remembered the days when Amphetamine Reptile ruled the underground rock scene, but with some interesting new elements (bleak guitar ambience, piano, etc.) that add new shadows to Black Elk's ferocious sound.

Always A Six, Never A Nine will be coming out through Crucial Blast on October 21st and will be available as both a CD in deluxe gatefold packaging and digital download, with touring to coincide with the release.

Black Elk will stampede down the West Coast beginning this week, bringing their Pacific Northwest style of wickedly mangled headfuck-rock to some lucky towns:

07/11/2008 Oak Street Speakeasy - Eugene, OR
07/16/2008 The Alibi - Arcata, CA w/Helms Alee
07/17/2008 Thee Parkside - San Francisco, CA w/The Divine Feud, Pristines, Loving Thunder, Hooray for Schwule
07/18/2008 Alex’s Bar - Long Beach, CA w/400 Blows, Horns, Telomere Repair
07/19/2008 The Scene Bar - Glendale, CA w/400 Blows
07/26/2008 Capitol Hill Block Party - Seattle, WA w/Akimbo

Philly's sludge-metal badasses hit the road this week on another East Coast tirade, bringing their down-tuned dropkick of depraved doom alongside some hellish other acts, including Sourvein, Monstrosity, Alleged Satanic Ritual Abuse and more. The reviews on this face-fisting debut are spraying through the media like bloodied teeth fragments.

"Philadelphia's Javelina are all about the ugly... like Crowbar arm wrestling High on Fire for possession of your soul..." - Outburn

"Things go from ugly to uglier in a hurry and you find yourself wondering how the fuck Iron Maiden, Motörhead, early C.O.C. and Celtic Frost... could ever be assembled into something so seamless and crushing." - Decibel

"...Javelina's self-titled Translation Loss debut is a motherfucker..." - Pitchfork

07/10/2008 Nara Sushi - Richmond, VA w/Sourvein
07/11/2008 Talking Head - Baltimore, MD w/Sourvein

Lair of the Minotaur’s killing spree continues… Their crushing third full-length War Metal Battle Master continues to reap ravenous praise from all levels of the press and the bloodthirsty public. With several tours already under their belt this year, the band attacks the asphalt again this month with a week and a half of dates with Torche and label mates Boris, a string of shows with acts including Sourvein, Black Cobra and Weedeater, building up to a mini-East Coast tour with legendary hardcore hellions M.O.D. The band is featured on the cover of the August issue of Metal Maniacs which will street the same day Lair join the Boris tour on July 22nd.

The video for War Metal Battle Master’s title track has reaped massive response online for the band and is now attacking the world via MTV2s Headbangers Ball this week! Directed by Gary Smithson (High on Fire, Goatwhore, Exodus, Tomahawk) the video is one of the goriest, violent and most METAL videos ever. On the making of the video, LOTM frontman Steve Rathbone comments: "Gary approached us at the Murderfest in LA in March ’07, wanting to direct a video for us. I told him I didn’t want to make a normal video - I hate most videos. But I already had an idea for the track War Metal Battle Master."

Filmed outside of Lancaster, CA - about half a mile from the church in Kill Bill where Uma gets shot up -LOTM let the blood flow... "The bloody ladies are Keres; demons that were attracted to blood from battles" Rathbone continues. “They would grab the newly fallen, rip them apart with their teeth, drink their blood and drag the corpses to Hades. We wanted to make something for hardcore horror and metal fans. People have been freaking out about it - I lost count of the people who came up and told me they waited their whole lives to see a metal video like that.”

This world debut of this version of the video hits Headbangers Ball this Saturday! Tune in from Midnight - 1 AM for the assault. More info at:

FUNEREAL MOON - Satan's Beauty Obscenity

Autopsy Kitchen Records proudly announces our new signing/collaboration with Mexico's ambient/occult/black metal project Funereal Moon! Funereal Moon have been creating Satanic audio blasphemies in this world since 1993 with the debut release of their Prayers Of The Crystal Tablet Of Beli demo cassette. They have had a unique approach to the dark arts from their very inception and it has only grown phenomenally over the decade since. We first became familiar with Funereal Moon's mysterious presence with their 1997 vinyl only release Grim...Evil.... Soon after that release the band all but disappeared from this planet with only 2 very limited "commemorative/best of" CDs containing a scattering of new tracks being released in a span of almost a decade!

Funereal Moon eventually returned from absolute obscurity however and began recording full time once again much to our own pleasure. We decided to approach the band about doing a re-release of Grim...Evil on CD format and in the end we got much more than we bargained for...Funereal Moon have made Autopsy Kitchen their new home for all obsessive intents and Satanic purpose in life...The first collaboration is fully recorded and will consist of a re-release of the tracks from the previously mentioned Grim...Evil LP as well as the first new Funereal Moon recordings in years: Satan's Beauty Obscenity. Following this release, the aptly titled brand new full length recording Bringer Of Evil will also materialize to assist in your pain and pleasure as Funereal Moon have done for us all these years.

THOU - Peasant

Every now and again the rare occasion arises that you come across a record clearly created by fanatics that simply can't help but stand apart from the crowd. Fanatics that have deep roots in nothing else but bashing out the most grim yet beautiful sounding doom... doom isn't the genre here, doom is the atmosphere. Eyes peer beyond shadows and blood flows beneath footprints. The world is not as vast as the mind. Reality suffers the consequence and we are it's slaves.

Peasant is Thou's 2nd full length after their debut LP Tyrant and both LPs were summoned in their hometown of Baton Rouge, LA which many here in the states consider the home state of that true soulful doom vibe somewhat akin to Motown via Detroit. Unlike many bands of the ilk, Thou doesn't just simply plow over you with riff after unbearably crushing riff over the duration of the album but choose to riff over your soul track by track with more venom per ounce than is likely healthy by any standard. Needless pain and suffering are all around you, Thou are not the answer... they are the alternative. No true pleasure can ever be experienced without a healthy dose of pain. Look no further. Presented in a deluxe 16-page booklet and each copy will come wrapped in a specially designed vellum strip. Hear THOU on our online mp3 player now.

See THOU on tour now!

Thou are currently touring the United States until July 19th and you'd be a fool to miss a chance to see them live if they come anywhere near you!

TAPROOT RETURNS SEPTEMBER 16 WITH HIGHLY ANTICIPATED NEW ALBUM OUR LONG ROAD HOME

Los Angeles, CA (June 19) – Ann Arbor, MI-based hard rock quartet TAPROOT has announced a September 16th release date for highly anticipated new album OUR LONG ROAD HOME. The album—Taproot’s first since 2005’s Blue-Sky Research—will be released through Velvet Hammer, the label founded by the management company of the same name (System Of A Down, Deftones, Alice In Chains).

Working with producer Tim Patalan (Sponge, Lovedrug), the band penned more than fifty songs for the album, twelve of which were recorded in a converted barn just a few minutes down the road from vocalist/guitarist Stephen Richards’ home.

“We made each of our previous albums in expensive studios and always had to keep one eye on the clock to finish on budget,” says Richards. “This time we got to record an album the way we did our early demos—relaxed, at our own pace, and allowed to indulge in our own guilty pleasures. It proved that you can actually go home again.”

OUR LONG ROAD HOME reveals a revitalized band with a broadened range and deepened perspective. The album combines the feral ("Take It”) with the grandiose ("Footprints”) while exploring themes of loss ("Be The One"), liberation ("Run To") and the emotional carnage in-between. On tracks such as “Hand That Holds True” and smoldering lead single “Wherever I Stand,” Taproot blends iron-fisted backbeats, honeyed melodies and speaker-shattering guitars to thrilling effect.

After recording three albums for a major label, OUR LONG ROAD HOME will be Taproot’s first as an indie band, and as Richards tells it, that suits them just fine. “Budget cuts and political shifts cost us our support system at the old place,” he says. “When our A&R guy lost his job, we knew it was time for a change. A few years ago, that might’ve been a scary thing, but it’s a brand-new world out there now for bands like us. We no longer have to rely on a big record company to make things happen and that’s exciting. We made this record without the pressure of having to write four smash hit singles hanging over our heads and that was liberating. “Of course,” he laughs, “there are a few songs on the album that could do really well on radio.”

“The album title is based on the idea that everything you ever wanted is right inside of you, you just have to dig and find it,” adds guitarist Mike DeWolf. “It’s been a long road for us, but it was all right here all along. We just had to come home to find it.”

Taproot arrived on the scene in 2000 with Gift, an album that shot to No. 6 on Billboard’s Heatseekers chart, with follow-up records Welcome (2002) and Blue Sky Research (2005) each charting within the first 35 on Billboard’s Top 200. Along the way they garnered critical praise from the likes of Rolling Stone and Vanity Fair, shared stages with bands ranging from Linkin Park to Queens of the Stone Age and saw songs like “Poem,” “Mine” and “Calling” blanket rock radio.

With OUR LONG ROAD HOME Taproot is staying true to their roots, while keeping their grooves current and hearts open. “There’s a sense of energy and excitement about us that we haven’t felt since we released our first album,” says Richards. “We’re ready to hit the ground running.”

Ladies and Gentlemen of the Metal world,

We are proud to announce the signing of a new metal force MEMOIRA, a young female fronted Finnish band playing what we would call "epic melancholic metal that has progressive and gothic orchestral parts. MEMOIRA is known for it’s strong melancholic melodies and heavy guitar walls, and began it’s journey in the beginning of 2007, originally formed by the two guitarists Jani Haanpää and Marko Heurlin in 2001. They gathered together a group of various musicians who had played in different bands. Memoira went to studio to work on first album in the end of 2007 and in the beginning of 2008 started to work with Lance King (known for best for his work as vocalist of BALANCE OF POWER, PYRAMAZE and most recently of AVIAN & KRUCIBLE ) as an executive producer naturally leading to their new full length debut "SELF TITLED" release with Lance's label Nightmare records.

INFERNOPHONIC PREPARES TO ‘SPARK IT UP’

Melody meets musicianship in classic hard rock merger on debut CD

#2 Most Added at CMJ; #5 Most Added at FMQB

“A breathing, live sound that will remind you of when music was played by bands.– Guitar Player

CLIFTON, NJ – Heavy without the metal and meticulous in its musicianship, INFERNOPHONIC returns the swaggering spirit and soulful splendor to hard rock in a funked-up, female-fronted fury on its debut CD, Spark It Up.

Hailed by Guitar Player for “a breathing, live sound that will remind you of when music was played by bands” and praised by Guitar World for exploring “rich melodic and lyrical topics,” Spark It Up already is charting at FMQB and CMJ, debuting, respectively, at #5 Most Added and #2 Most Added on hard rock radio.

INFERNOPHONICis a real musician’s band, pummeling rock’s current conventions with a wallop reserved for the hard-hitting giants of the past four decades. Stacking contemporary influences such as Red Hot Chili Peppers and Audioslave on a firm foundation of forefathers Led Zeppelin and Deep Purple, the ferocious foursome is headed by ringmaster Kevin Bolembach (Non-Fiction) on bass and head-turning newcomer Elaine Tuttle on lead vocals, a “red hot singer” (Guitar World) who “conjures comparisons to Grace Slick, Ann Wilson and other ballsy banshees” (Music Connection). Fortifying the attack are the lightning licks of guitarist Pat Piegari (Lourds) and the deep, dirty backbeat of drummer Ross Kantor.

After two years of burning up the Northeast with their incendiary live shows, INFERNOPHONIC was asked to record Spark It Up by Alan Evans of Soulive. Evans brought the band into world-famous Applehead Studios in Woodstock, NY (Coheed & Cambria, King Crimson, Medeski Martin & Wood) to plug into its coveted vintage gear, clandestine recording techniques, and cutting edge mixing technologies. Those studio qualities held special meaning for Bolembach, a self-professed gear head who is also founder and president of Godlyke, Inc., an equipment company obsessed with tonal quality. It should come as no surprise that Spark It Up is a sonic smorgasbord that will leave every musician wondering: “How did they get that tone?”

Able to melt and meld a diverse audio arsenal to create a new sonic experience, INFERNOPHONIC is a breed apart. Spark It Up is sure to ignite the molten core within any hard rock fan, regardless of age, by a band that is glorious in all its heavenly rage.

Following intense and very constructive discussions, Steamhammer/SPV have announced their future collaboration with Swedish dark melodic metal act, Evergrey. The deal includes not only the group's brand-new studio album, Torn, which will arrive in September, but also Evergrey's complete back-catalog. SPV Head of Labels, Ulrike Rudolph says: "We are all happy to welcome Evergrey to the SPV/Steamhammer Family, and are looking forward to a great future together." Evergrey mastermind Tom S. Englund is also looking forward to a productive cooperation with Steamhammer, explaining: "After long and intense negotiations, we feel that we have arrived at optimum conditions for everybody involved. We are confident that Evergrey will continue to grow artistically under the terms of this contract, that SPV will enjoy our cooperation and - this is definitely the most important aspect - that our fans will thoroughly benefit from the new deal."

The first stage of this ambitious target will see the release of Evergrey's new studio album, Torn, at the beginning of September, featuring eleven compositions, described by Englund as a "modern mix of In Search Of Truth and Recreation Day". "The tracks are all guitar-oriented and very atmospheric. They have exactly the sound that our fans expect from us." According to Englund, the slightly more experimental direction of Evergrey's previous release, Monday Morning Apocalypse, has given way again to old strengths and virtues. "Two years ago we needed an album with a slightly different approach and an expensive producer, just to find out how that sort of thing works. It was the right album at the time, but now we have returned to our typical trademarks." This is one of the reasons why the tracks on Torn were self-produced by Englund together with drummer Jonas Ekdahl. In addition, the band has a new bassist, Fredrik Larsson having been replaced by former Stratovarius musician Jari Kainulainen.

Since the band arrived on the scene in 1998, Evergrey have brought out six studio albums and one live cut. All of them made the top 20 in their native Sweden and the last two made the top 10 (no. 6 and 3, respectively). On top of that, their DVD was number 1 for four weeks and nominated for a Grammy in Sweden. The band has toured around the globe several times, together with In Flames, Nevermore, Throwdown, Arch Enemy, Children of Bodom and Iced Earth, among others. Along with Torn, their new contract with Steamhammer/SPV includes the band's complete back-catalog, so top-quality reissues featuring a selection of bonus tracks are likely in future. "There is so much additional material for each album that we could theoretically re-release it on an extra DVD. Whatever we manage to do – premium reissues are certainly a possibility."

Sensory Records is proud to announce the signing of New Jersey's up-and-coming prog metal all-stars Suspyre. Formed in 2001, these talented, young musicians have discovered an energetic and gifted way of combining progressive rock and symphonic metal with classical and jazz fusion. The bands' new album When Time Fades... will be released September 30, 2008.

"We are all very excited about signing to Sensory Records" says Gregg Rossetti, guitarist and founder/composer of Suspyre. "The high-caliber musicians on this label have inspired our band to become what it is and we are now proud to be a part of their family."

October 2005 marked the release of the band's first full-length album, The Silvery Image. Response to the album was so positive that the band was signed to Nightmare Records and followed up with the release of their next album, A Great Divide, in March 2007.  The album hit the top 2007 prog metal album charts on websites such as USA Progressive Music, ProgPalaceRadio.com, and Beyond Ear Candy.

To further their goal to develop and perfect their fusion of varied musical inspirations and influences, Suspyre has recorded a third album, When Time Fades… This album is a groovier piece of art with a bit more metallic crunch, and even more variety in the song styles, including an acoustic piece. No one can accuse this band of being formulaic in their composing. When Time Fades… has set the bar even higher than the band's previous albums, not only in music creation but also in the artwork done by Gustavo Sazes (Firewind, Dark Empire, Mystic Prophecy) , and featured guest artists that include drummer Charlie Zeleny (Behold the Arctopus, Blotted Science, Jordan Rudess), and female vocalist Trisha O'Keefe (Amaran's Plight).

Suspyre is also currently trying out musicians for two new positions, seeking a drummer and a keyboardist to fill the line-up of their band for live performances (see below for full audition info).

PRESS RELEASE - WORSHIP To Release Doom EP Trilogy

Funeral Doomers WORSHIP are working on a conceptional trilogy of EPs called "Elemental Doom Trilogy". The first installment will be shipped in June, and can be preordered today.

Interesting about the trilogy is that each EP focuses on a raw, primal theme, the first being "Wood", and both bands of the split 7" provide a song based on that theme.

The split partner on "Wood" is Persistence in Mourning (USA), known from the Thergothon Tribute CD.

Worship's contribution is "Baumvater", a song written in 1995 by band member Satachrist, constituting the band's first non-cover which was not written by The Doommonger. Who contributed the lyrics, though, partially in German in contrast to their latest release "Dooom". There are other differences too, as EPs allow for more liberty. We might hear some groove and some harder elements as well on this one.

The cover is designed by Gustavo Sazes (www.Abstrata.net), who already received huge praise for his Digipack artwork for "Dooom". The 7" comes in a nice cardboard sleeve. Although label Endzeit Elegies reacted to the speed in which some of the past EPs were sold out, the first EP on Worship's own label will still be limited, and preordering is heavily advised, starting today at their online shop: http://www.EndzeitElegies.com/catalog

Distributors who want to carry this title can contact Endzeit Elegies info <AT> EndzeitElegies <DOT> com. The complete list of distributors will be announced soon on the label's website http://www.EndzeitElegies.com

SUCCESS WILL WRITE APOCALYPSE ACROSS THE SKY, Tampa's own misanthropic monolith, penned a deal with Nuclear Blast Records in January of 2008 after extensive touring for their debut EP, "Subhuman Empire", available via Debello Recordings. Guitarist Ian Sturgill speaks on what is to be expected of their first full-length LP titled "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry", produced by James Murphy (Testament, Obituary, Disincarnate):

"We have taken great care to make this album as completely pissed-off as humanly possible. This music has become more than what we could have ever hoped it could be. Our EP was recorded roughly 3 weeks after the band's formation; this recording, with more jams under our belt and James at the helm, is to be experienced by the listener as we had always intended. We're here to make Metal fucking scary again. That being said, onto the lyrical content:

It is our firm belief that the currently accepted beliefs and their subsequent courses of action are instrumental in the tumultuous times in which we are living. The slow hypnosis and systematic retrograde of the general population is coming to a very ugly head. It is only through a radical overhaul in the current human paradigm that we may be able to avoid what very well could result in our self destruction; or at very best, our total enslavement. It is now more important than ever that we observe our history and endeavor to avoid our prior mistakes.

There is a human tendency to point fingers in times like these. When the human animal observes that which it does not understand or is at odds with, the common reaction is to become the polar opposite of that which it despises; in this Left/Right/Black/White thought and response process, a million possibilities are overlooked and drastic measures find themselves in the place of rational actions. The human animal then seeks to assimilate its enemy. This is a very robotic response, and is unlike the standard fight or flee instincts that are prevalent throughout the animal kingdom.

To conquer an enemy, it is often wise to divide them among their own ranks... and divide ourselves we do; by border, race, faction, genre, culture, rank, blood and class. But who then indeed, is our enemy?

The powers of thought, speech and action are grossly underestimated due to the debasement of mankind.

'The Grand Partition...' is a dire reminder than we are the clearest and most direct danger to ourselves."

Pre-production has been completed for "The Grand Partition and the Abrogation of Idolatry". Drum tracking will begin in June at Hollow Studios in Rockland County, NY.

Gringindtheapparatus.net will be taking video documentation of the recording process will begin in June, and will also be available at youtube.com/SWWAATSTube; fan submitted live videos of the band can be viewed in the meantime.

S.W.W.A.T.S. features former members of BODIES IN THE GEARS OF THE APPARATUS and DEHUMANIZED.

DARKEST SEED finishing recordings of the debut album

- The heavy/hard band DARKEST SEED recently finished the recordings of drums and guitars of their new album, which shall be released in the next few months. Right now the group is going to record vocals and bass, then begin the mix and mastering process to finish the album, which is being produced by Roger Fingle (Blood Tears and Seduced by Suicide) at Nitro Sound Solutions studio.

About the recordings the guitarist Ricardo Reolon (ex-Burning In Hell), comments: "The recordings of guitars and drums were fine and pleased us very much. Since we had lots of rehearsals before entering in studio, we didn't have any problem when recording. Now we are going to record bass ans vocals, then begin the mix and mastering. We are very anxious to see this album ready and to show everyone the power of Darkest Seed songs".

ARSIS PART WAYS WITH DRUMMER; BEGIN STINT ON “IN THRASH WE TRUST” TOUR

Lead guitarist/vocalist James Malone offers this band update:

“Although we had a great run over the past year and a half with drummer Darren Cesca [whose work is featured on the band’s latest album, We Are The Nightmare], we have decided to stop working with him in ARSIS.  The reasoning behind this decision is simply differences in personalities and an overall difference in direction.  Darren is an amazing musician and we harbor no ill feelings towards him.  We wish him all the best.  We are most excited to announce that Alex Tomlin, a long time friend of ours and an outstanding drummer, will be replacing Darren.  His first shows with us will be on the ‘In Thrash We Trust’ tour starting this Wednesday.  Come out and support ARSIS and the new addition to our line-up!”
