Give us a short history of the band.
The band formed in late
>99.
Slavehunter got a hold of me to trade for some videos. When I sent
his videos, I sent him a cdr of a project I=m
in calle AEffigy@.
He liked what he heard and got back with me. He asked me if I would
like to start a thrash band. We started jamming with a different
drummer but after a few times jamming it became clear we would need
to bring in a new drummer. That=s
when we got Aggressor in the band. We put together a few songs. At
the same time we were looking for a bass player. Slavehunter asked
Terrorizer if she would like to jam with the band. She came in and
killed us. We started working on the
APagan Rites@
demo. After the demo was done, we sent it out to different labels.
Unholy Records picked us up and we started working on the cd
ASterilize
and Exterminate@.
The cd was recorded and we played some shows. We are now working on a
new cd
Who are some of your influences?
My influences are Kreator, Slayer, Destruction,
Venom. Anything old school. I=m
also into bands like At The Gates, or Soulless from Cleveland. I just
got turned on to Invasion. They fucking rule!
Please describe your band for those who haven=t
heard of you before.
We are a thrash metal band that plays old
school thrash metal, that promotes war death and chaos.
Are you currently on tour?
No plans to tour at this time. We all have
jobs. But, if the right tour came up we would do it.
How have people responded to your latest cd?
I=ve
been blown away by the response to
ASterilize
and Exterminate@/
all the reviews I=ve
seen have been all positive. Thrash metal is making a comeback.
Anything currently in the works?
We are working on a new cd. We got four songs
done. The titles are AFog
of War, Plague of Vermin, Resurrected from the Past, and Generations of
Mutations. We should be ready for the studio in a few months.
Any of you in any other bands?
Yes. I=m
in a number of other bands/projects. They are death metal and grind
core bands. Nocturnal Fear is my main band. I just started an mp3 radio
station featuring some of them. Just do a search for Nocturnal Fear.
After finding NF, click on the stations playing and then click on
Wargrinder radio. To check out some of my other bands. Slavehunter has
a hardcore band call Angry Aryansw. Aggressor and Terrorizer are also
veterans of the scene.
What might the future plans of the band be?
The future is unknown as I said. We will put out
a new cd soon. Do as many shows as possibile. I would like to see a
tour put together. We=ll
have to see what happens in 2004.
