1. What thoughts go through your mind when writing your lyrics. How
does the process for you start in writing lyrics for a song.
Well, I can just say, when I feel that hatred in my songs and when I
look out through the window and watches all the prejudice, and all this
despair it becomes clear for me.
This world is a sick Christian world, and that's what my lyrics are
about.
2. What direction are you taking your band as of now.
At this moment were sending our demo to some well-chosen labels. At
the same time I'm working with some new songs, so if we get a record
deal we can record a full length album.
If we don't get signed, we can release those songs as a new demo
instead.
As you can see at our myspace site, we have a new drummer called
Anael, and were talking about beginning to rehearse all the songs, and
maybe play them live. But at the moment were just too lazy to do that,
as well as we don't have enough songs to play live. But it's a thought
we have, and we do hope to stand on the stage with Vanmakt in the
future!
3. How much of the music you write is what is happening in your
life.
Everything. Every note and every little fragment of Vanmakt's music
is about my life.
I hate music that doesn't have a special feeling about it, a feeling of
despair, hate and a fucked up Christian world. That's what my songs are
about. Maybe its cliché, and there's a lot of bands out there writing
about this. But I have to say that the most of them are fake fuckin'
assholes that has nothing to do with real Black metal! I want everyone
to know that Vanmakt is a true Satanic black metal band and that the
music I write is all about the hatred and the despair I feel in my
life. And we believe that those which listens to us, can feel that.
4. What state is your band in as of now with touring and recording.
Were currently in pre-production mode. Were always in pre-production
mode, except if were in recording mode. Vanmakt's is writing new songs
all the time, cause every day has something new with it. At this moment
I'm working with 3 new songs at the same time.
You can't mix the feelings, and you cant just put together one song.
You need to work with it all to hear if the songs work together.
5. Do you prefer to stay underground with your band or want to be
more known in the DEATH*BLACK* METAL world.
We want everyone in the entire world to know that Vanmakt exists and
that were here to start a new Satanic era. But, we do know that there's
only a few that really understands what this kind of music is about. I
just want to say that were not in it for the money, we just want to
spread a true Satanic word, though were tired of all the fake
Blackmetal heads out there!
6. Spread the word on what your slicing up for the future as far as
your band.
Were going to record a sick first full length album and conquer the
world! I know that there are a lot of bands that says the same thing.
But, I'm sorry guys; Vanmakt is and will always be the best Black metal
band in the world!
7.What is one of the best highlights to your band.
Well, I believe that best highlights has been all the great response
we have gotten since the demo was uploaded, and even since the first
song was uploaded. It feels kind of sick that were receiving fan mails
at this early stage, but it feels and great! Were doing this for all
our brothers and sisters out there and in some crazy way, it feels like
they already know that!
8.How did your bands name become to be? Who came up with the name?
What inspired it?
This is a tricky question. In English Vanmakt means powerlessness.
But it still doesn't have the touch as Vanmakt has in Swedish. As I
wrote before, everything of Vanmakt is about my life. In Swedish I can
say that I feel Vanmakt when I look out through the window, when I look
at the news and when I'm walking down the street. This world has fallen
apart, and everyone kills each other. Everyone feels hatred to other
people with the wrong color or the wrong opinion. That's sick, and
that's how a Christian world looks like. A place full of hatred and
prejudice. That's what Vanmakt is about. It describes this fallen,
Christian world. For me were already lives in what the Christians calls
Hell.
